The MSEDCL Breakthrough and Revenue Impact

Swastika Infra Limited has achieved a major milestone by securing a ₹615.76 crore contract from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This award for infrastructure development in the Bhandup Zone is the largest single order in the company's 15-year history. To put the scale in perspective, the contract value is equivalent to approximately 1.2 times the company's entire FY26 revenue of ₹503.57 crore.

This win significantly enhances execution visibility following the company's recent IPO, which successfully raised approximately ₹130 crore to fund its expansion in the Power Transmission and Distribution sector.

Rapid Scaling of the Unexecuted Order Book

The acquisition of this MSEDCL project has led to a rapid scale-up of Swastika Infra's business operations. The company's unexecuted order book has effectively doubled from ₹687 crore in March 2026 to approximately ₹1,400 crore as of October 2026. This growth trajectory reflects a decisive move up the project value curve, transitioning from smaller regional assignments to large-scale utility contracts.

Earlier in 2026, the company secured multiple smaller projects, including a ₹79.01 crore underground cable job from PGVCL in July and various transmission projects from RRVPNL in Rajasthan ranging between ₹31 crore and ₹47 crore.

Scope of Distribution Infrastructure Development

  • Development of new substations and augmentation of existing power infrastructure
  • Installation of high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) lines across the Bhandup Zone
  • Deployment of new distribution transformers to enhance network capacity
  • Extensive underground cabling and renovation works for system strengthening
  • Implementation of digital solutions including GIS mapping and asset tagging

Strategic Significance of ADB Backing

A critical feature of the Bhandup Zone project is that it is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This aligns with Swastika Infra's core strategy of focusing on projects backed by multilateral development agencies, which typically offer higher payment security and structured execution timelines. The entry into Maharashtra is also of high strategic significance, as it is one of India's leading power-consuming states with an investment-intensive T&D ecosystem.

The company independently qualified for this tender based on its financial and technical credentials, further establishing its reputation as a national multi-state EPC player with operations now spanning nine states.
