Corrections Policy

How ALFA News handles errors: how to report one, how quickly we act, and how corrections are disclosed on the article.

ALFA News reports from primary exchange filings at speed. Speed produces errors. This page explains what we do about them.

Our commitment

We correct errors promptly, visibly, and without waiting to be pushed. We do not silently delete or rewrite an article to make a mistake disappear.

How to report an error

Email info@alfafinder.com with:

Anyone can report an error: the company concerned, an investor, or a reader. You do not need to be a subscriber, and we do not require you to identify yourself.

What happens next

  1. Acknowledgement. We aim to acknowledge every report within one working day.
  2. Check. We re-read the original filing. The filing is the arbiter — not our article, and not the complaint.
  3. Action. If we got it wrong, we fix it. If we got it right, we say so and explain why, citing the source.

How a correction appears

When we take an article down

Removal is a last resort, used only where an article should not have been published at all — for example if it was written from a filing that the exchange subsequently withdrew. We do not remove accurate reporting because a company would prefer it were not there. Where an article is removed, the URL returns a clear notice rather than disappearing silently.

Errors in third-party data

Reference financial figures on our articles are supplied by Trendlyne and labelled as such. If one of those figures is wrong, tell us anyway — we will flag it upstream and, where the figure is materially misleading, remove it from the article in the meantime.

If you are not satisfied

If you have raised a correction and are not satisfied with how it was handled, you can escalate to our Grievance Officer under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Details are on the Contact page.
