What Is the Partnership?
Fortis Hospotel Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fortis Healthcare, has signed definitive agreements with Seth Sunder Lal Jain Charitable Eye Hospital to provide specialized medical services. The arrangement grants Fortis exclusive rights for 29 years to manage inpatient care and operate advanced equipment, including Cath Labs, LINAC, and surgical robots. While the society retains ownership of the 3.1-acre land and building, Fortis will deploy clinical manpower and technical expertise.
The deal includes a revenue-sharing model where Fortis receives a service fee based on a percentage of the hospital's total earnings. Additionally, Fortis will provide a security deposit to the society to ensure performance obligations.
Partner Profile
The counterparty, Seth Sunder Lal Jain Charitable Eye Hospital (SLJ Society), is a registered charitable entity operating under the Societies Registration Act. To facilitate the development of the 400-bed super specialty facility in North-West Delhi, Fortis will extend a construction loan of up to ₹567 crore. This loan will be disbursed in multiple tranches over the next three to four years, coinciding with the hospital’s construction progress.
The society has created appropriate security in favor of Fortis’ subsidiary to back this credit facility, ensuring a structured development of the project which is expected to commence operations within 3-4 years subject to necessary approvals.
