A ₹1,500 Crore Strategic Play in Speciality Chemicals

Aarti Industries Limited (AIL) has significantly bolstered its order book with a long-term supply agreement that offers a revenue potential of ₹1,500 crore. This deal represents approximately 16.6% of the company's trailing twelve-month revenue of ₹9,013 crore and 8.8% of its current market capitalization. Under this arrangement, AIL will establish a dedicated manufacturing unit in India to produce a speciality chemical used in high-performance applications.

The project utilizes the unnamed global customer's proprietary process technology, marking a deepening of technical collaboration. This contract also establishes a brand-new customer relationship for AIL, providing long-term visibility for its domestic supply operations.

Key Terms of the 10-Year Dedicated Agreement

  • Contract duration spans over 10 years with dedicated manufacturing and supply commitments
  • Total estimated revenue potential of ₹1,500 crore (approx. US$150 million) over the term
  • Projected capital expenditure of less than US$25 million for the new facility
  • Financing for the CAPEX to be managed through a structured financial arrangement
  • Commercial production is targeted to begin during the 2028-29 financial year
  • The model leverages AIL's engineering and scale-up expertise for global outsourcing

Management on Global Standard Manufacturing

This agreement brings a new global customer into AIL’s portfolio and reflects the confidence placed in our ability to establish and operate dedicated manufacturing assets to global standards. The model combines the customer’s proprietary technology with AIL’s strengths in scale-up engineering, execution and reliable operations.

Strategic Momentum and Capital Allocation

This latest agreement follows a period of active expansion for Aarti Industries. In March 2026, the company signed a multi-year supply agreement with an agrochemical major and amended an exclusive long-term contract for backward integration. More recently, on September 7, 2026, AIL commissioned Phase I of its Zone IV project at Jhagadia, Gujarat, which includes Calcium Chloride and PEDA plants.

To support this ongoing growth, the company has scheduled an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting for October 31, 2026, to seek approval for raising up to ₹1,000 crore. These developments underscore AIL's shift toward capital-efficient platforms and high-performance speciality segments.
